The Advisory Board to the Department
The Accounting Advisory Board (“AAB”) was formed in 2019. It is an advisory body with strategic missions that comprise distinguished professionals from industry and public practice. Formed to strengthen the connection between the Department of Accounting and the evolving demands of the accounting profession, the AAB plays a vital role in shaping the department’s direction, curriculum relevance, and student success.
Mission of the Advisory Board
The mission of the AAB is to provide expert guidance, industry insight, and strategic support to the Department of Accounting in pursuit of academic excellence, professional relevance, and student preparedness for the dynamic field of accounting.
Composition of the Advisory Board
Board members are invited based on their leadership, expertise, and commitment to advancing in their respective professions, including accounting and taxation, banking and finance, consulting and advisory services, entrepreneurship, and enterprise management. The AAB meets annually to offer recommendations and collaborate on initiatives that benefit both students and faculty.
